UW Blockchain Society is excited to present our first-ever Hackathon and Expo event
weekend, to be held at our University of Washington campus in Bothell, WA. The first
two days will be the Hackathon and is for students to create software solutions with a
focus on blockchain.
To conclude this exciting weekend, we will have our Blockchain Expo. Back by popular
demand from the success of last year, our Blockchain Expo provides an education based
expo featuring a variety of topics such as social media, a debate on bitcoin, use cases,
diversity in blockchain, and crypto taxes. Most blockchain conferences cost $500+ and
we wanted to provide an accessible option for students especially since there is
extremely high interest regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Our mission statement is to educate people in PNW about the fundamental mechanisms that power blockchain technology. We hope to create a friendly environment for all types of majors to join us!

The availability of information about the product to all parties can help ensure data integrity. This initiative can also provide proof that products are generated from acceptable sources. Much optimization here can be done in our environment, supply chain operations, or advocating of human rights etc!
